Forestry Access Officer
Forestry Access Officer: join a safety‑minded team, manage site access, engage landowners, protect networks, travel ready, precise, proactive, and customer‑driven.
Needs to Have
Minimum 2 years in similar role
Manual Handling Training
Full driving license
Previous experience in a site access/wayleave role
Overhead Lines (OHL) experience for LV/MV/HV networks desirable
Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving skills, with previous experience of planning
Strong on emphasis on health and safety and risk culture in day to day
Needs to Do
Be aware of and ensure compliance with the SHEQ Management System
Update and use the ESB systems
Comfortable using KTL software programmes and hand-held devices as required.
Contact customers via appropriate means to establish the correct landowner(s).
Proactive in agreeing site access arrangements accordance with Client requirements
Record all landowner interactions and site information during each site visit.
Record all information of ESB OHL locations and highlight any issues with ESB apparatus.
Highlight trees/vegetation that interfere with (or have the potential to do so) any OHL network.
Address any concerns landowners may have which might impact client relations.
Develop appropriate solutions to any deviations found through landowner/client feedback
Highlight requirements for plant and equipment to complete necessary site works.
Ensure that all required certification/ID is valid, prior to the undertaking of any work
Needs to be willing to travel in an effort to carry out the required works
Ensure “Right First Time” culture is maintained throughout all works.
Report any safety issues/breaches in a timely manner to Senior Management
