Overhead Lines Patroller
Overhead Line Patrol: ensure client specs and SHEQ compliance, complete safety paperwork on site, travel as needed, read diagrams, own tasks, and safeguard people and networks.
Job Scope
To ensure that the overhead line patrol work is completed to client specification and in accordance with SHEQ standards.
Needs to Have
Relevant H&S accreditation and certification (i.e. Safepass)
Full drivers license
Overhead Lines experience for LV/MV/HV networks
Basic knowledge of how to read a network diagram
Experience working with Fibre is an advantage but not essential
Excellent communication skills
Needs to Do
Ensure that patrol is completed in accordance with client’s specifications, quality and procedures
Ensure that site safety is maintained in accordance with KTL’s SHEQ Management Systems.
Ensure all relevant H&S paperwork (JSSP) is completed on site prior to works commencing.
Breaches in Safety/Quality on site must be reported to management without delay.
Ensure targets for near miss reporting and good catches are met.
Ensure that you are compliant with instructions regarding PPE, use of safety equipment and correct usage of tools and equipment and follow safe working practices at all times.
Ensure all required certification/ID is valid and present on site, prior to the undertaking of any work
Needs to be willing to travel in an effort to carry out the required works.
