Design Surveyor
£40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum
Job Scope
A surveyor is responsible for preparing survey schedule, completing surveys, and delivering survey reports.
Need to Have
Good technical understanding of Telecommunications Industry essential
Good technical understanding of Structural and Electrical elements within the industry
Understanding of the industry Health & Safety requirements essential
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in digesting and implementing operator’s technical documents and guidance
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Proven people skills in dealing with clients and site providers
Proficiency with using MS Office suite
Proficiency with AutoCAD is desirable but not essential
HNC/HND in relevant discipline desirable
Full driving license
Training certificates including:
RF Awareness
Arqiva/MATS approved Rooftop Worker
Arqiva/MATS approved Climbing and Rescue
Medical for Climbing
Emergency First Aid at Work
EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card)
Need to Do
Operational
Support with scheduling surveys and arranging access with Site Providers
Travel UK wide with regular overnights
Undertake work according to relevant approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards and ensure their consistency with requirements of other departments
Understand client design specifications and complete surveys accordingly
Ensure all handover documentation is completed and submitted Right First Time
Health & Safety
Preparation of all necessary documentation including RAMS and permits
Ensure all necessary Health & Safety documents is read, completed, and signed
Undertake tasks using the correct and personal protective equipment [PPE] specified within RAMS
Undertake tasks according to Safe System of Works as directed in company policies, RAMS and other relevant H&S guidance
Highlight in survey handover documents any hazards or areas on site that don’t comply with Health and Safety regulations or client’s design guidelines

Self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast paced organization
Able to understand and meet client expectations in line with project scope
Well-organised and able to deliver handover documents in the required timescale
Focused on ensuring delivery is Right First Time
Detailed orientated with strong emphasis on H&S culture in day-to-day working
